A hidden gem!

You wouldn’t know it but this unassuming little pole-shed thingie houses one of the best little restaurants / cafes in the Caloundra area. From the outside it isn’t much but once inside, it really opens up and there is a lot of space.

The food is excellent and everything on the menu is worth a try. The portion sizes are just right so you won’t go away hungry. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area so no surprises there. I like the Reuben and the Okonomiyaki (not sure I spelled that right haha) are both awesome. If I had to pick, I’d go with the Reuben on the first visit and save the Oko for later, sort of saving the best for last.

Finally, One Block Back is dog friendly. If you don’t like dogs, you’ll either have to skip it or get over it. I’ve never seen a dog cause any trouble there; all of the dogs I’ve seen there have been well-behaved.

Parking can be a challenge but normally it isn’t too bad.
